Why is 4.1.2 so slow for Android?
I am developing a 3d game for Android and I just reformatted my computer so I figured it would be a good time to upgrade my Unity from 4.0.0 to 4.1.2
I didn't upgrade it earlier because I didn't want to risk any problems. Sure enough the new version of Unity caused my Android frame rate to drop to 50% or less than what it used to be. The game play was extremely choppy...
So I uninstall 4.1.2 and go back to 4.0.0 and sure enough the frame rate skyrockets back up to where it should be.
After doing a little forum research it appears many people are having issues with newer versions of Unity 4... what is going on here?
I am not doing anything fancy that should cause problems by updating Unity versions...

The android development area of the unity forums are going to be the best place to keep up to date on this issue, if a fix, cause, workaround or any other relevant information is found it will most certainly be posted there first.
