My friends cant connect to my hosted server.
Hi, Im making a game that me and my friends can play exclusively but when I start hosting, sometimes they connect but they are in a sense playing single player. By which I mean they cant see me and I cant see them. But when I play the game from my PC and on my laptop it works fine. Im simply just using the Unity Networking Example scripts.
Any help appreciated.
Are they behind a firewall or something ? In the unity network example there are some logs when the player is connected (or not), maybe you could read the backlog from their instance to understand what happens (or don't work)
We did it without firewalls on but it still didn't work, and the log looks as if they didn't even attempt to connect
Do you use the unity master server ? I can't tell you what is wrong if i don't have the script (at least the interestings parts)

Is this a Unity networking problem, or a networking problem? Ask your friends if they can ping your IP address from their machines. If they can ping your machine, then you do not have a networking problem, so you then have a Unity networking problem. Just ask a more detailed question and we can try and help. If your friends are unable to ping your IP address, then you'll need to figure out that problem.
