Is there a way to edit the default 3rd person controller to do extra animations?
Alright, so, i exported an FBX of a character with an idle, walk, run, and jump animation, put it in the scene, assigned the third person character script and camera controller that comes with unity to the file, and i messed around with it a bit and i finally got the animations to play when i push a button instead of just having the character loop the idle animation.)
anyway, i want my character to be able to punch an enemy turret and do damage to them when the Fire1 button is pressed. I can do the animation no problem, but i'm not sure how i'd script the existing third person controller to play that animation when i press the Fire1 button. How would you guys go about starting this?
