Tree colliders not working?!?
Hi everyone, i'm working on a huge forest with all the terrain tools I need. I've recently learned how to add tree colliders, but now, they just wont work! I keep getting this error when I start my game:
"Could not create tree colliders. Maybe there are more Trees then PhysX can handle?"
I've placed an estimated of 100.000+ trees in my scene, is this why I'm getting this problem? Or maybe because of my settings?
If you guys have anyway to solve this bug, please post them below! I would appreciate anyone with helpful answers :)
Thanks for reading!

Yup thats your problem I reckon. Ive been recently adding lots of trees to my island map. I got an exceptional answer about how to remove trees below water lines last week and I used that to cut down my 150k placed to about 60k. I think the sweet spot it a bit around that number. Check out his answer if you need to cull any unused trees. Try mass placing less and less trees until you get below the number when the console errors stop happening.
There MAY be an option to increase the number of allowed colliders but I havnt heard anything like that, im sure theres a reason for the limit even if we think our GPUs can handle it
You're right dude, I had to reduce the number of trees. Thanks! :D
Woo-Hoo! So glad that RemoveUnderwaterTrees worked for you, this has made me very happy. No,I'm not just spam$$anonymous$$g, here's something I found a while ago and I thought it was excellent. I havn't tried it out yet, but for you both to test out here it is. If there are lots of trees, why not try just placing colliders on the trees that are closest to the player? Sounds like a good theory hey! Well here's where I read about it : http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/282910/tree-collision.html#answer-406989
