Transform and "native" components optimization

This page has several little simple hints on how to optimize, one that surprized me was the part where you should cache the transform component, I thought it was already cached as we can access it through a simple accessor, is the hint still true?

Yes it's still true. Cached transform variable is faster than .transform which is faster than GetComponent(Transform).
