Create a Word Game like Scrabble in Unity?

I am extremely new to Unity and I am developing through PlayMaker and uScript at the moment. I am trying to create a word game however where once the letters are strung together correctly that the game will know that this is a word and that it is correct and will lock it as a word like scrabble or words with friends. Any idea of where I should start with developing this type of game? I have read about having a dictionary list for reference. Any information about where I should start and how I could make this happen woruld be wonderful.
