A newer version of Unity Web Player is required, but the auto-update download failed. Was trying to download http://webplayer.unity3d.com//autodownload_webplugin-3.x/UnityPlayer3.x.x-x86_64.bundle.zip
and i can not instal manualy what to do??
How are you getting this link? I don't find this link in the JS imported in the standard WebPlayer html output.
1 build webplayer from 4.6.1
2 click on the index.html
3 error
Have you tried to uninstall the web player, reinstall and clear your browser cache? Because the file linked here doesn't exist.
yes i have done reinstall , why do the web player link to an non existing file ??
I really haven't any more ideas, but it seems other users are having this or similar issue, only I can suggest to clear everything in your browser cache if you didn't yet.

@ricardHagerman: This link is pretty pointless for a 4.6.1 web application as it's a Unity 3.x webplayer. You should install the webplayer you find on this site. The webplayer plugin is always required to download the actual playback engine based on what the content you want to play requires. It's not ment to manually download those. There's no offline download.
Make sure you don't block the access of the webplayer (firewall, noscript, antivirus, ...)
I am using the 4.6.1p5 patch version. This pointless link is someplace in the Unity code. Because it is not valid, the autoupdate process is broken and games built with Unity for the web player do not function. http://webplayer.unity3d.com//autodownload_webplugin-3.x/UnityPlayer3.x.x-x86_64.bundle.zip
@TedB: You got that wrong. The Webplayer plugin is able to download almost any previous Unity version. When you open a .unity3d file in the browser, the plugin checks which version of Unity is required to play this content and downloads the required player.
Afaik the autoupdate function is ment for the browser plugin itself. Just uninstall the webplayer and install the latest. I have the latest plugin and it can play even my old webbuilds (3.0, 3.5, 4.0). I'm not sure if i still have a 2.6 build somewhere, but i'm pretty sure it would run as well.
If you have the latest plugin installed, then something on your PC might be blocking the download of the required player engine.
You might want to take a look at this site as well:
http://unity3d.com/webplayer/setup
This should show you your player version in the webplayer on the right side. Does it load for you?
switching back to 4.6.1 works - the patches 4.6.1p1, 4.6.1p4 and 4.6.1p5 don't.
@Bunny83: I have Web Player 4.6.1f1 installed. Click on the link I put in my comment which came cut and pasted from the console log output of the web player. It's a 404 - Not found. So that URL does not belong in the Unity codebase, and it's causing a lot of problems with developers who are trying to deploy to the Web Player with Unity 4.6. If you had a problem fixed with a recent patch, like I did, you now have to use multiple versions of Unity to deploy to projects, depending on which problem you are trying to work around.
@Bunny83 with regard to the App deter$$anonymous$$ing which version of Webplayer is required; there are many recorded cases of games beco$$anonymous$$g broken when the next Webplayer was rolled out, which indicates that self acquisition does not always work.
