Working with complex FBX files
Hi,
I have FBX files that contain more than one object/mesh. At importtime I want to create a prefab from each of the different meshes and put the corresponding materials on them. This is what I do:
The AssetImporter starts
I iterate all Mesh objects in the asset
For each mesh a Gamobject (scene) is created
The gameobject gets a MeshFilter and is linked to the mesh from the FBX
Now I want to copy over the Meshrenderer from the FBX for THAT Mesh/Object
The problem is, that I do not know where to look for the MeshRenderer. Can someone give me a hint where I can find that thing in the FBX?
