Double Jump using First Person Controller

Hi guys, i'd like to create a double jump for my first person game. I'm using the default first person controller prefab. I have no idea how to do this, i've searched around but they're all using different prefabs and scripts. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There are several ways to implement double jump, but you should start by defining the behavior you want. Do you want the player to just tap-tap to jump extra high, or do you want him to only be able to jump again once his vertical velocity is around 0 or less?

Defining the problem in plain english will help you understand how to code the solution.

Yes, unfortunately there are many posts of duplicate questions by different users that seem to be unable to use a search engine. Well spotted, but this question is over 8 months old. I have closed the question. Hope you found the solution you're looking for.

I would like him to hit space to do a normal jump, and when in mid air if you hit space again it will repeat the jump from the position in mid air. I hope that makes sense xD
