How to achieve best fps for Animating - Built-in Unity animation or coded through Javascript?
Hi I just wanted to know which is the most efficient way (for better fps) for an animation to be performed on the iPhone. Is it via the built-in Unity animation window, via Javascript or otherwise? Any other helpful fps saving tips would also be helpful! Thanks.
I asked this one time and just got a bunch of downvotes and annoyed comments, for not just testing myself, so good luck to you. I believe that animation is the fastest, but it's possible that different cases will yield different results, as some of the people who told me off were Unity developers. So if they don't have a clear answer, there likely isn't one. ;-D
Oddly enough, the developers have answered this exact question yesterday and even did a quick benchmark quite a few months ago (on answers both of them).

I believe something similar was asked yesterday and got a decent response. Rune also pointed to a test he did a while ago here.
Yes, the second link is to a question that is exactly the same as this one with an answer based on actual measurements.
