Why does Unity3d 4.2 constantly crash on my macbook air?
Hey guys,
Just started out using Unity3d and going through the tutorials. My problem is that unity3d constantly crashes. I can import a scene, open a scene, and I can move around in the scene.
But frequently when moving around in the scene, unity crashes. For example when zooming in, and the camera passes through an object.
It also frequently crashes when saving, if I have added anything to the scene.
I'm currently working on the Bouncing Ball tutorial
(http://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/modules/beginner/physics/assignments/bouncing-ball)
I'm using: Model Name: MacBook Air Processor Name: Intel Core i5 Processor Speed: 1.7 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 2 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB
Any ideas where I can start looking? After searching around on the web it seems that the mac should be plenty powerful to run unity.
Best regards, Henrik
Looking at ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Editor.log is a good place to start.
