Turning gravity on makes objects fly
When I turn gravity on for gameobjects they start flying upwards for some reason
any help would be appreciated!

Maybe gravity is upside down compared to your world? See:

It's possible that your orientation if off. What looks like the objects flying up could just be the objects falling down. In other words, your objects are hanging from the ceiling, and fall into infinity. Does this make sense? Just a guess Lol
