Audio files not playing at all
My audios don't play in the editor, unity remote or in my builds. I'm working in Unity 3.5.6 - Mac OSX 10.7.5. I have tried different audio formats wav, aiff, mp3, etc and no success. I found some other folks @impossible, @gagalug have had the same problem before and no answers (http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/176021/sound-not-working.html). Is this a unity bug?... can somebody help?
Try going into the Audiosettings check that the Sample Rate isnt zero.
Edit->Project Settings->Audio
If it is at zero, give it some value like 16 or 32.
Is it a 2D sound in the import Settings? If not the camera needs to be close by to hear.
Do you have an audio listener?
I just had this issue and googled for the answer, which is how I came across this post. I could not preview audio within the editor or hear the audio when running in-game.
It seems the issue was resolved for me by simply closing the Unity editor and relaunching the program.
