What are some good environment modeling applications?
Hey, so I notice Unity's terrain maker produces a polygon count that is very high, so I want to look for alternatives. Not just terrain sculptor but full environment maker, trees, houses, etc. What's the best application to do this in a Mac? If possible list free applications or under $500, :) Thanks
i personnally use blender but if you look on the asset store there are plenty of environment packs
The terrain system doesn't produce a high polygon count if you don't want it to. Just reduce the resolution and/or increase the pixel error.

You can choose how detailed your terrain in Unity is. You can reduce its poly count by decreasing terrains resolution. Also you can add trees (THIS and THIS might help) in Unity terrain editor. About houses....those you will need to model by yourself or download somewhere a free house models (check the Unity Asset Store or Turbosquid and similar websites).
If you want an external terrain editor just type that on Google and you'll find plenty of them.
gave a vote up for your help in other thread, and because someone has neglected to mark their question as answered ._.
