MonoDevelop performance in Unity 4
So MonoDevelop appears to grid to a halt for me every time I open my project in U4 - then when it finally comes back to life it can't correctly find my classes or symbols using Navigate.
I've tried using the former version of MonoDevelop from U3 and it works fine, but of course it won't support debugging properly.
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and had a better solution? (It has been reported as a bug, I'm looking for a work around).
Hi guys! Sorry for getting back to the topic again but I'm a newbie to Unity and $$anonymous$$onodevelop. I am facing this strange problem with $$anonymous$$ono performance in Unity 4. $$anonymous$$y CPU goes up to almost 90%! It's crazy, I can hardly write anything. I have already tried your idea but still no sign of improvement. Do you know if maybe the problem can be coused by anything else or are there any other possibilities to solve it? Thanks for the answer!

I'm having the same issue after installing Unity 4 (thanks for the clue of where to look). It is actually possible to disable the git integration in MonoDevelop via Add-in manager/Version Control/Git Support. This fixed the problem for me.
Fantastic! This was causing me sooo much grief - waits of several $$anonymous$$utes several times per hour. Disabling that Add-in resolved it all...
