Centrifugal force on game objects?
I have a player GameObject(a ball) that is on a spinning disc platform. It is connected to a post in the center of the disc by a spring joint. The post is parented to the disc so it spins as well. The desired behavior of these GameObjects are for them to act like a spinning ball and tether. I would like the player to control the length of this "tether" (spring joint or otherwise). I have had some trouble trying to implement this in various ways. A spring joint was my latest idea. If anyone has some insight, that'd be great. Thanks!
Hmm - I'd probably just connect the outside ball with a fairly long Hinge.
$$anonymous$$ake the post rigidbody in fact kinematic, and make the ball rididbody normal.
You'll have to very carefully set the angular drag and drag and mass of the ball.
It is absolutely essential that you use REAL WORLD measures, and masses, for every single thing involved. Hope it helps!
