Does tree created in unity3.0 acts LOD by default?

Hi everyone.

I guess that tree created in unity3.0 acts LOD by default. I haven't seen article related it in manual.

Who know that?

Trees places as terrain trees are billboarded, which gives you LOD. Look at the billboard distance settings in the terrain documentation.

No. The terrain engine does all the tree and detail (grass) LOD for you. If you don't use the terrain engine, you have to implement your own LOD system.
