alphablended shader rendering infront of billboarding trees?
Hello guys,
So I have the really strange problem... I have a few very large particleEmitter(clouds). And if I move far enough from a section of the terrain with trees the trees start to render over the clouds... Is a known problem? Is there a fix?
thanks!
You say "clouds start to render over the clouds" -- do you mean "trees over the clouds"? Check your near/far clip planes, and the render queues being used by the materials involved.
O$$anonymous$$G epic spelling fail. sorry! Edited my question ;)
I am just using the thin tree prefab from the island demo. It uses the default nature tree shader. the bark uses the default bark shader... I had the farClip plane rather high to render the clouds which were quite far away... I think it was 10000 farClip plane or something..

Use a different camera range for the clouds, and everything else. There is not enough precision in a depth buffer to do it all with one camera. (Especially, try to push the near clip plane as far out as possible, as precision is greater nearer the near clip plane.) If that doesn't fix things, post what shader you're using for the clouds, too.
