Generate Colliders not workign with Imported Maya
Hey fellas, so I tried making a simple box in maya and then imported using import asset into Unity. I checked the "Generate Colliders" box and put my FPS controller in but it falls right through when i test play it. In the FPS tutorial it was as simple as that but for some reason a basic box is giving me trouble.
Any ideas?

make sure your character controller is higher than your box. your distance from the ground depands to your world scale. you can change the character controller settings to achieve best results.
okay, i created a whole new project and tried again. When i create a box in Unity, the controller behaves correctly and doesn't fall through, but the cube room $$anonymous$$aya still behaves the same way. I also tried setting the height of the controller smaller and placed it well above the cubes so that it fell. Landed on the Unity cube, fell through the maya cube. Its so simple but not working!
I do the same thing and it worked. If you post your unity files we can find out its a bug or something is wrong.
Did you ever figure out what was causing the issue? We have a similar issue where we have some simple boxes (Created with $$anonymous$$aya) that are suffering from the same issue. The 'Generate Colliders' object just works for all of our complex models. However, it never works for the simple box models.

I think its a random Unity bug i hope they fix it in a newer version :( cos you cannot add anything to the bootcamp demo ,the colliders refuse to work :( its a shame but I only really want the actual soldier for my own demo (if THAT works lol)
