Question by George 8 · Jan 03, 2011 at 07:49 PM · javascriptphysicsgravity

How do i stop rigid bodies jumping?

Hey when i make my rigid body cube to not bounce off other cubes

i pick it up with my physics gun and put it on top of another cube and for some reason the sort of bounce is there any way to fix this also when things are being used by physics gun they start to get slowely pulled back down by gravity.

thanks

i think you are using the Physics material, if so, then you can change the bounciness to a lower value like .5 or some close values, you can play with the values of friction as the dynamic and the static other thing you can do is to to change the drag value of the rigidbody

if you dont have the physics material and you are adding to your gameobject a force when it detect collisions, you can add a value that keeps the count of the bounce they get, or reduce the force applied to the object on each collision

if none of this helps you then with a little more specific question i'll be able to help more hope that this is the answer that you were looking for =)
