Pointers for a web-based 3D project
Hello,
Recently I was proposed to do a project for a residential company. The company needs and website with some specific things; 1. A 3d map of the hole building with a virtual tour. 2. A customizable way for the clients to choose the layout and design for all the surfaces( walls, doors, floor, ceiling...) and appliances ( kitchen sink, bathrooom sink..).
How can I do this using Unity 3D engine, and how hard would it be, I'm asking this from my point of not being great at coding, being better at photoshop, art and stuff.
If you could give me some pointers, where to start first it would be much appreciated.
Thank you and excuse my for my bad english.
It would be possible to do, you might have to start learning a bit of code though. To change objects material you can search the web, here's a link to a question discussing this (fairly simple).
You can also replace different objects in the scene such as sinks etc. With a bit of coding knowledge you should be able to figure it out.
It depends on how much time you have to work on this project and how quickly you learn basic coding (you will require atleast a little code to do what you described).
