Unity3D mouse events not working on Amazon Web Services EC2 instance in Play mode

I am running Unity on an Amazon EC2 instance. Keyboard input works fine, and so does mouse... but only in the editor. As soon as I run the game, the mouse disappears and there is no ability to control the in-game camera via the mouse.

I can confirm that this issue exists with the default sample applications in Unity, too.

Any ideas?
