How to create directX 11 hair with tesselation?
i want to create hair like the did in the butterfly effect example but they don't really give a clue how, i know that it came from nvidia but idk where to find the assets i need to port it into unity like they did (or really how to port it even if i had the assets because i only know a minimal amount of cg shader language). i already know im supposed to use guide hairs but i need to know how to use the dx11 tessellation before i can, so any and all help would be appreciated
I would also like to know how to do this. sharpshot, did you find any demo or port for this?
well i found some info on it, i am working on this still but basically you have to make a shader that emits isolines from triangles and then u expand those isolines and apply a hair texture. when i have ability to do so ill try to make a tutorial
still researching this, as i am new to shaders and all its slow going, but if anyone has any info or wants to help please pm me
