The box for entering a variable's value in the inspector is not where it should be.
When I try to edit a variable's value via the inspector, it makes me enter the new value into a different variable which is sometimes on a different script. When I try to edit variables on certain scripts the text box never shows up. Here is a quick video that might show you what's happening a bit better.
I've tried this with multiple variables, and it does the same with all of them. I've also tried different scripts with the same result. Does anyone know what's going on?
Not sure I can help, but if you post your $$anonymous$$ove script I or someone else may be able to spot something.
The script currently has nothing in it beyond the declaration of variables.
Out of curiosity, have you tried restarting Unity? Weird things happen for me if it's been awhile since I've restarted.
It still happens after restarting. It doesn't happen when I make a new project, so I can just try to make a new one and move all of my stuff over. I'd still be interested to know what would cause this so I can avoid it in the future.
