Add an alpha channel to your cross-hair image so that you can see through it, and change the size of it in the inspector.
Sorry, Im a newby, do I do that in unity, or in the paint program? And were can I find it? sorry for the dumb question.
Change the size in the inspector in unity. Add the alpha in your paint program. I don't know if Windows Paint provides the ability to make alpha, but either way if you're serious about making something good you'll probably want to learn Photoshop or G.I.$$anonymous$$.P. for your image editing. I highly recommend that before you start making your own game, you take the time to do all the tutorials you can find in Unity, which will answer a lot of your "newby" questions before you have them. There are a bunch here: http://unity3d.com/support/resources/
