Question by Jean-Fabre · Apr 05, 2011 at 09:00 AM · windowswindows-standalonescreensize

Windows publishing wrong screensize?!

Hi,

I am having problems with the screen size on windows standalone. I set it to 1024*768. I publish for iPad, no problem, webplayer, no problem, mac standalone no problem. But on windows, the size is wrong by few pixels only.

I developing using mac. This might be the issue.

Is it just me?

bye

Jean

Hi,

filed a bug to Unity, and meanwhile found the likely source of the problem.

If the screen size is not the native one, then it corrupts the actual application produce by unity. As soon as I switched to the native resolution, it then performed as expected and displays the application at the size you actually set it in Unity or in the resolution dialog. magically enough, if I revert now to non native screen resolution, it shows the application ok, so I can't even reproduce now.

This is therefore an unlikely set up, but caused me quit some headache, a serious waiste of time and a very difficult time with the client that hopefully appreciates that this out of my reach.

Bye,

Jean

From a question I saw on here short while ago, but strangely enough cannot find at the moment, this had something to do with the current settings of your monitor. Try lowering your own resolution and building it again. Not sure if/how/why this works, but that's what I remember. :p
