How to create translucent shader that filter part of lights?
Hi,
I want to create a light diffuser shader. The shader should work like filtering portion of lights or being refractive. It makes the light diffuse. For example, the light on the lit ground from a spotlight will not have a clear circular shape. Where can I find such shader? Or how can I create one? Thanks very much!
Do you mean a translucent shader? I mean, something that blurs the image behind it so that you can't see details clearly?
Yes I mean translucent shader. I want the shader to diffuse the light, like a light diffuser. I put several spotlights (all pointing down to ground) in a light box. The shader on the box will blur the light and we will not see the circular light on the ground.
I found this http://www.farfarer.com/blog/2012/09/11/translucent-shader-unity3d/. But the translucency only work for lightmapping. How can I see the translucent effect in real time?
