Unity 3d Gui BOld Problem

Hi, I just started using Unity3d and it seems like an awesome game engine.

However, as soon as I imported a model, all of the txt in the unity window become bold and impossible to read. When I clicked on other parts of the window, text in those parts also changed type.

What can I do to resolve this?

I am running OSX 10.5.8 and using Unity 3d 3.1.0f4

I have restated unity and it works for a little while, but as soon as I click on the model, it usually gets messed up.

Plz look at these screenshots:

BEFORE I click on the model: Before I click

after I click on the model: After click 1

after I click elsewhere in unity3d: after click2

Whoa! That is really weird. I've never seen anything like that before.

First of all, yes. Unity is an awesome game engine. :)

I'm thinking that that is most likely not a problem with the Unity application. However, have you tried reinstalling Unity? If that doesn't fix the problem, have you seen this with any other applications on your computer?

I've never had this happen with anything else. I am currently running unity on my sister's laptop with great success! She is running Snow Leopard, so I may have to upgrade my OS to make it work.

Reinstalling is a good idea. I'll let you know if it works.

restarting and reinstalling did not work. I think upgrading OS to snowleopard may be my only option

Sorry about that. I hope upgrading works for you!

I upgraded my OS to 10.6.3 and everything works well. Thanks!

Upgrade to 10.6.5 ins$$anonymous$$d; old OS versions usually have outdated and buggier drivers.

If this was on Mac OS X 10.5.x with Intel GMA 950 graphics card: it will be fixed in Unity 3.2 soon (buggy drivers; we'll work around). Or, upgrading to OS X 10.6.x also works.
