Switching from Running Animation to Sliding animation during down swipe

I am doing a project like temple run. I need 4 animation .

1. Running

2. Jumping

3. Sliding

4. Death animation

I can easily switch from running animation to jumping animation during up swipe. When I press shift key the Character switches from running animation to sliding animation. But I can not switch from running animation to sliding animation during down swipe.I have written same code against shift key and down swipe. But when I press shift key the character smoothly switchs from running state to sliding state but the same things is not happening during down swipe. So please help me .
