Ignore Camera on Gui Elements

Hi,

I created a slider and have the camera from the fp controller. When I move the slider the camera also moves. The same issue I have for other gui elements but this can be seen more clearly on the slider one.

How do I go about fixing this(?) or where should I look for reference? Also, I was thinking of using GUI.Box and placing the elements on it ( like a hud ). Is that using the same approach or a different one?

Thanks in advance.

LE1: Added an image. Hopefully this clarifies the situation.alt text

LE2: The more I tried to think of an example the more I realized that this needs to pause the camera's movement. Just like in some fp rpg where the inventory takes precedence whilst the camera stands still.
