Detect / force a Mac to use dedicated graphics card ?
Specifically, our standalone osx game runs fine on a MacBook Pro 15 inch using OSX 10.8 when the power saving function is turned off and is switched to use the dedicated graphics card.
But when it's turned on and starts using the integrated graphics card, the screen will be too small or the game window will be too large to fit the screen.
I'll either need to add support for the integrated card or be able to force the game to use the dedicated card to fix this.

It's up to the user what graphics card he wants to use; if he puts the computer in power saving mode there's nothing you can do about that (nor should you be able to override it). If the integrated card isn't powerful enough for your game, just specify that it's not supported.
Thanks for answering. That's pretty much what I had to say to our publisher. I hope they accept it as it is. I just kind of wanted to make sure that there's no way to do this.
