Question by linaMK86 · Aug 16, 2011 at 08:37 PM · recordingplaybackobjective-c

how to have a funny playback of sound

hello,

I downloaded the project Speakhere from this link(http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/ SampleCode / SpeakHere / introduction / intro.html) and I tested it on iOS. the problem he repeats the sound as it is when I want him to repeat a funny voice .

I have no knowledge of objective-C but my project requires recording and playback of sound so I used SpeakHere and I want to modify this so that it is a fun track.

If you are interested about my subject, you have a link, is there anyone who knows Objective-C can help me?

I take a lot to your help and advice. thank you

Objective-C is Apple iOS code, I think you will get more answers in a real Apple forum. This is more about Unity program$$anonymous$$g aka C# and Javascript language + the Unity API - so we dont have to think about iOS.

Voice modification is a very complex subject, and you will not be able to implement this from scratch in a short time. The easiest funny modification available is to speed up the sound pitch (it produces the familiar Chipmunk voice). If you have the sound file and wants to test it in Unity, set the AudioSource pitch property to something above 1 - pitch is actually equivalent to the reproduction speed, so when it's 1.2 (for instance) the sound will be played 1.2 times faster, and its frequency will be 20% higher. Usable values for pitch will range from 0.5 to 2.0.
