Unity re-importing maya issue
I imported a file from maya to see how it would look. I did several changes to the model, added some textures. I then deleted the files unity created from the first import. When I import the new file, Unity imports the model correctly but all the materials it creates are from the first import and not from the new import.

I found the problem. I had to change the fbximporter setting in materials generation from per texture to per material.
