Using POST/GET from JavaScript in Webplayer to .php file; How do I set up the data in the php file that is to be transfered?

I'm am new to using php and POST/GET, I have been up all night and half th eday on forms trying to get this to work. Using POST/GET from JavaScript in Webplayer to .php file; How do I set up the data in the php file that is to be transfered?

Here is part of my code fron the javascript within unity.

var result;

function Start()

{

url = "http://gotargamingcompany.co.cc/unity_test/test.php?var1=value1"; www = new WWW(url); yield www;

 if(www.error == null)
 {
      message ="No Error Found on Get";
      result = www.text;
 }
 else
 {
     message = ("WWW ERROR: " + www.error);
 }

}

What I don't understand is what to put in my test.php file.

this is what I tried.

<?php
     $var1 = "info retrived from test php";
?>

thanks for any help!

You'd use $_GET to retrieve the get parameters:

$var1 = $_GET['var1'];

To send data back, use echo:

echo $var1 + ' test';

Here's a pretty decent example of both being used:
