How to texture a platforms of random width?
I'm making a simple 3D jumping platformer and I need to texture the platforms. They are made of primitive cubes with width randomized, when a map segment is spawned. I'd like to avoid stretching the textures, but I don't know how tiling would work (since I want them to look different from each side). Textures don't need to match up perfectly at the edges.
I would also gladly read any of your suggestions and tips on creating the textures in blender or gimp.
