Is it possible to Launch a unity application (.exe) without installing unity?

I would like to know if we need to install Unity to launch a unity application (.exe)

I am not sure about this but unity web player might be worth looking at. Just google "unity web player"

If you mean a deployed/exported unity application, then no, you don't need to install the editor to run it.
