Question about Network.InitializeServer documentation
Hi,
I've just read the documentation of Network.InitializeServer and there your can read:
Connections is the number of allowed incoming connections (note that this is generally not the same as the number of players).
I can't understand the point of having 32 connections allowed for a game meant to be played by 4 players for example. Does someone know more about this point? Thank you.
EDIT: my question is for a mobile game where you have not master server to act like a referee on several games at the same time. My question is in the case of a multiplayer game where the host will also be a player.
What is the question? Ins$$anonymous$$d of 32 simply set the max to 4?! 32 is just an example of course.
The question is : Why is there a difference between inco$$anonymous$$g connections and number of players? what is the purpose to define a different number for connections than for number of players ?

The number of connections, is the number of connections that the server will establish, say you have 4 people in a game and a 5th one tried to join... the server would completely ignore them, but if you have for instance 5 players with max 4 in the game, you will have to make the server send a message to the connecting client to disconnect because the game is full. The first method is easy, but the second method allows more flexibility, like server ques!
Depending on what you are working on you can choose either method.
