Are extremely high load times for Procedural materials normal?
Me and a few others are working with Substances/Procedural Materials we used substance designer to create the substances and brought them to unity. With only 13 substances it took nearly 3-4 minutes to build and run it. The question is very general as I'm not sure what is being missed.
I do see that we can cache the textures once they are loaded, however this does not help with the initial loading times. I also know that we could bake and then discard the substance this however takes away the ability to change or adjust things that we partial decided to use the substance for in the first place.
Any help is greatly appreciated and welcome If there is more information needed to answer the question please ask as I might not have considered all possibilities.
