How to not rely on the Visual Interface

I am a programmer, experienced in both javascript and C/C++/C#/, so I don't have any problems with programming. However, I don't like the fact that I have to rely on static objects to write code. How can my code be self-sufficient to run games? What can I do to put the Visual Interface like cameras and such aside and purely use the compiler?

I would suggest using a different engine. One without a visual interface.

Yep - you'd probably be better off with something like UD$$anonymous$$. You're missing the trick though - it's very very powerful. You can attach scripts to prefabs, you can write static classes, there are many ways to make a very fast development environment - though like you I found it hard to get to grips with to begin, I wouldn't be without it now.

I am extremely confused. It sounds like you're asking how to use Unity without anything that Unity offers, and my advice would be to go back to Eclipse.

Ok why was this closed? How is this a staggeringly unusual question that raises fear? I find Unity to be quite powerful, however I don't like to rely on many of the already existing objects. P.S: Louis, Eclipse isn't the only compiler out there, and defenetly not the best either.

I closed the question because

"Too subjective and argumentative"

no big deal. I've opened it again (any ad$$anonymous$$ can click to open it again at any time).

It's just not a "question" dude. It's like on here people often ask "what is better C or Pascal!" and it just gets closed straight away.

No biggie, cheers !
