What is VFP?
I am trying to use my Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 mini pro to develop a small game for android. But when I click the build & run button in Unity to test the game I get an error telling me that the "Device hardware is not supported" and then it gives me a list of hardware requirements.
My phone does have an ARM11 CPU but I have not been able to find if it supports VFP. What is this?

It is not VPF but VFP which is an acronym for Vector Floating Point. See the following article for details:
