Why are lightmaps so sensitive to compression and is there any solution?
Lightmaps seem to be far too sensitive to compression. On a white surface, artifacts become visible even with the minimal amount of compression. It seems that Unity handles lightmaps wrongly somehow, because it doesn't make any sense. What is the reason for this sensitivity and will this be optimized in the future?

Are you sure it's the lightmap compression ? It's not the lightmap computing precision ? What was your parameters ?
