UnityEngine.Video.VideoPlayer takes a very long time to load. Can I stream it before it loads?
Hi Everyone, I'm currently using Unity Beta and am trying to play a video. The video is pretty big ~250MB. When I try to play it, it basically freezes everything in Unity, and after about 60 seconds, it finally starts playing and the level starts (it actually starts playing 60 seconds into the video, however). I was wondering if there was a way to either reduce the load time, or to get the video to start playing earlier (like, maybe stream it)? I have it successfully working by adding it as a preloaded asset, but I am running into more problems when I preload more than one video.
Anyways, if anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Jonesy19 ,
Did you happen to find a solution to this ?
Unfortunately, no. But there have been a lot of improvements and additional features added since march of last year. You might want to look at the new features, as well as simply trying it again. I do believe I got around this by just loading the video during black screens and such.
