Unable to uninstall old unity

Question

I am trying to install Unity 4.6. I completely restarted my system and NOTHING in Unity is running but it still says it cannot uninstall the old version. I hit "IGNORE" but this just seems like it's a bug of some kind. If after a complete restart when Unity is not part of any start-up program, one would expect it to be able to uninstall the app.

Is there some lingering file that I need to delete to tell Unity it's okay now?

I've had it report that but all I do is hit try again and it works 2nd time.

No it failed Try Again many, many times (I have to do that for every single build since 3.5.
