is a character made of shadows possible
the title says it all but i need to know if i can make a translucent black warewolf thaat looks like a shadow with wisps of shadows curling of it, thanks if you can help thanks if u cant
I always believed anything is possible if you put your $$anonymous$$d to it. So I will just say what you are asking is possible, it wont be easy at all, but achievable and will be awesome as a result.
thanks but im totaly useless with this sorta thing, i was thing maybe trying a particle system, halo and a trail renderer. but this didnt go well, the reason i want a shadow warewolf is im makeing a horror game a bit like slender but with a story quest and other stuffs
If you want a great example of how to do this have a look at the shadowy humanoids from shadow of the colossus.

I would think that you need some mesh with some kind of transparent black texture to make it look shadowy. Then you could still use some smoke-like particle effects around the mesh.

Of course its possible but that is just a thought of what do you think a shadow looks like? For example a model that is completely dark black or whatever you have in mind. But that is no unity specific question, more design related. Or you make a mesh which is transparent, and let it cast a shadow (real time shadow requires unity pro). You see there are several ways of doing that.
