Can't add .Js script
Hi there, i'm new with this, so i don't know how fix it, so i need some help, the problem is when i try to put a .js script in my "First Person Controller" and Unity says "Can't add script - Can't add script behaviour FootSteps. You need to fix all compile error in all scripts first!"
I tried with differents scripts and still doesn't work, in all script that use, the MonoDevelop found some errors in the script like "Unexpected symbol 'var'", "Unexpected symbol ';'" I'm not an expert in scripting but that isn't an error right?
var AudioTimer : float = 0;
var WoodSound: AudioClip;
var MetalSound: AudioClip;
function Update () {
if(AudioTimer > 0){
AudioTimer -= Time.deltaTime;
}
if(AudioTimer < 0){
AudioTimer = 0;
}
}
function OnControllerColliderHit (col: ControllerColliderHit){
if(col.gameObject.CompareTag("wood") && Input.GetAxis("Vertical") && AudioTimer == 0 ||
Input.GetAxis("Horizontal") && AudioTimer == 0) {
audio.clip = WoodSound;
audio.PlayOneShot(WoodSound);
}
}
I [use this][1]use this[1]: http://bando.bplaced.net/scripts/Foot%20Steps.js too, and many others and i have the same problem. Some one know how to fix this? I would greatly appreciate it. :)
(BTW, sorry for the spelling mistakes, I'm not good with the english)
