Best way to send real-time blendshape data over a networkView?
I'm trying to figure out the best/most appropriate way of having real-time blendshape data be transferred over a network view so it can be seen by other players. NetworkView comps only support Transforms, Animation, Rigid Bodies, or Script components (not SkinnedMeshRenderer). I have a working multiplayer game where in I can see the other characters moving, all transforms are working normally, but I'm stuck on having the other players see the blendshape rendering.
I can't save the data into an animation clip because it's streaming into Unity in real-time so there are no anim clips involved at this stage.
I've tried using an RPC method to update the animation but that hasn't seemed to work either.
Has anyone done this, and if so, what technique would you recommend using? Since NetworkView components don't support SkinnedMeshRenderer, I believe the only way I could do this would be via script but I'm not sure exactly where to look for how to set this up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
