Scene camera zooms in too quickly and crazy?
When I'm flying around in the scene view the camera is acting really weird. It has a slow speed when I hold down W, then it gradually gets faster and faster then goes way too fast. It's not consistent. Holding shift has the same issue. How can I fix this so It's a normal viewport camera?
I don't have camera code I'm talking about just in the editor not a game camera. It's unitys editor camera
It depends on what object is selected in the hierarchy. I have noticed the scene camera is sometimes hard to control. Focus on a different gameObject (or none at all). Holding W doesn't do anything, pressing W simply changes the selection marker to transform (E for rotation, R for scale).
my bad, i speed reading and saw hold down W, which should only require a single press to change to move. $$anonymous$$ind of weird and i can't reproduce your problem.
lol I mean when your inside the scene view, press right mouse button to look around, then hold W and you will fly through the scene. It should be consistent speed, but it starts slow then speeds up really fast

This just happened to me, but I figured it out. If you left-click the center box of the view gizmo, it switches between the perspective (Persp) and Iso views. The normal first-person view is the perspective view.
Hope this helps! Happy game making!
You can click the center box of the view gizmo to toggle between Isometric and Perspective without holding the shift key.

Hello,
It's not a bug (It's a feature). It's part of the design, to make it more easy to travel large distances.
You can even hold shift to go faster
