Scripting help
OK i can model good rig good animation is good unity skills are good but when it come to scripting i just don't know it but my question does anyone know where i can learn java script (preferably video (cause iam more of visual learn)) but any thing is ok i found video they just write and you copy it without describing what any of it does so is the like a tutorial system on how to learn it or? thx any help would be great :)
W3Schools.com Is good for basic Javascript to get you started (and lots of other stuff)...but... UnityScript is pretty different than web-dev javascript in alot of ways, although the same in alot of ways too...
Unity3d Script Reference Is good for everything Unity...
Unity Answers ... hang around in here enough, and you're bound to pick up on tons of stuff. If you see a topic you haven't read, read it. If you see a question you don't know the answer to, try to figure out the answer for someone else ; learn along the way.
- There are tutorials directly in the Unity's official site;
- Go at www.unity3dstudent.com, there are a lot of examples throughout videos;
- Check for the links (a great number of them!) reported at this page;
- There are also some good books on the argument. I reccomend Unity Game Development Essentials, by Will Goldstone.
Everyone of us has certainly learned scripting by a sum of all this resources: If you are good in learning throughout videos, just concentrate on them, and use all the other things (like manuals!!!) to better understand what you are viewing.
