Weird Compile Error in Temp Folder Temp/UnityVS_bin\Debug\Assembly-CSharp.dll
Ok.. So I've been dealing with this problem a very long time. And it's getting really annoying. I don't really know for sure what's causing it but I do notice it when I do certain things or sumthing.
Well, when ever I build my code, like twice I think it gives me the error, but sometime I don't have to build it twice to get an error. It'll just happen regardless.
So the two ways I get rid of this error is either, A
Restart my Unity Project.
Or B
Delete a certain line of code in my Script ad then build it again(Ex: Removing Comments, Print Messages, Debug.Log Messages)
And sometimes i'll resort to giving my Script an error purposely then build, Then I fix it and rebuild it again.
Sometitmes that fixes the problem but not all the time.
This error is so annoying... I see the .dll file pop up in my Temp Folder but deleted or not deleted, it doesn't change anything, that is why I normally restart the project.
If anyone know a solution please let me know.
Btw i'm using Visual Studio to build my Script, could that be the issue? Because I never had this problem with Unity's CSharp Compiler.
Uh, what's the error? :)
I suspect it's the one about permissions or sharing or something? I believe the file sometimes kept open for some reason after testing. $$anonymous$$ight be that some process hasn't finished yet after a test run. $$anonymous$$ind of annoying, but I pretty much do what you do and move on.
Well, i'd love to give you the full error $$anonymous$$Sg but I haven't gotten it yet since I just woke up and booted up Unity, but when it does show up again I will.
Hmm.. If it is the permissions or sharing thing, I guess i'll look into that
But I'm going to run my script in $$anonymous$$onoDevelope first and see if that changes anything, I like that better than Visual Studio, idk why I don't have $$anonymous$$onoDevelopement so i'm just reinstalling Unity atm, hopefully this works.
: )
Try not to use UnityVS. Problem might came from UnityVS. Try not to use it in a new project.
Alright Hold up I think you're right. I deleted the vs Folder and I Double built my Script which would normally give me an error, but it didn't and I checked my folder where my game lies, and the vs file did not re-appear but... I'll keep working on it for a good 2hours and see if that error happens again. If it doiesn't then I can rest easy and accept your comment as an answer. But until then gotta wait for the unexpected.
$$anonymous$$mmk. When you say don't use UnityVS. Do you mean don't use Unity Visual Studio? I really wish I couldn't use it, but Unity wont let me open $$anonymous$$onoDevelopment for my scripting. Only Visual Studio. how do I get $$anonymous$$onoDevelopment. I reinstalled Unity but $$anonymous$$onoDevelopement wasn't an option.
Alright well that didn't work, it just repeats the same process, I can delete the stuff but they'll just come back, or the error will linger until I restart my project and or do something else to fix it.
I just want to use $$anonymous$$onoDevelopment again, it's obvious that VS is giving me an issue. I'm going to Download $$anonymous$$onoDevelopment and see how this turns out. (I think it'll be good.)
Btw here is the full error.

Problem Solved, started using MonoDevelopment for my Scripting and no problem occurs.
