Why is the Official Unity Splash Screen not stretching on Android?

I am using an Android tablet to test my game and this really annoys me. The Official Unity Splash Screen is not stretching to the full size of my screen (8"). It looks something like this:

I know this is a minor issue but the other "powered by Unity" games I played do have a stretched image so... what am I doing wrong? :/

I don't have Unity Pro so I don't think there's anything I can edit regarding the Splash Screen...

a lot of people are having the same issue after upgrading to unity 5.2. i think it is a PVR shader compiler issue. They will fix it in the near future
